Gulain Amani Mushizi

Gulain AMANI is a PhD student in Building and Urbanism at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a member of the LoUIsE laboratory.

He has a Master degree in urban planning at ISAU / Kinshasa where he is a teacher in charge of the courses.

His thesis project focuses on Congolese cities increasingly confronted with the problems of rapid urbanization and whose dynamics and management require contextualized reflections. Through the city of Bukavu, it deals with the issues related to the fine understanding of practices in the urban fabric in an approach promoting the search for solutions in local resources.

He worked on Kinshasa's urban development plan (SOSAK, 2013), the Habitat III Report and did a training in Public Management at ENA / DRC (2016).
